KMC

Some recent photos I took of my friend Katie "kmc" and I figured it was time for another brief interview.

How Long have you known me?
I've know of you for about two years, but I didn't really get to know you until this past year

What are you looking forward to in 2011?
killing it, working super hard, and getting used to living in nyc

How would you tell your friends about Too Young Collection?
hottest babes in Philly, amazing work, and super good style and taste

What's a must have you need on every shoot?
alcohol......and babes

How would you describe your style of photography?
bright and shiny

What inspires you?
 everything, fashion and youth especially

Who inspires you?

people who work harder than me and are doing just a little bit better, I'm super competitive so it makes me want to be better......and most recently you Bobby Whigham- because you reminded me why I love photography and how I used to see it when I first started shooting. I get caught up with production and deadlines and whos going to like it that I forgot that sometimes that shit doesn't matter and you just have to shoot what you like and trust your own taste.

If you could shoot any where, where would it be, and who would you shoot?
Lindsay Lohan in a hotel, right before she got arrested for having blow on her. The first time it happened.

so i know this girl PART TWO

Last month I interviewed and shot a few pictures of my friend Mallory. You can check out the interview here. This time around it's with my friend Debbie from work, and we shot a few photos around work.

Name: Debbie
Age: 30
Profession: Assistant buyer

So what's going on with Debbie this Holiday? I rested and relaxed, and tried to recover from 12 emotionally draining months, but I got a new haircut and a new tattoo to inspire myself for the year ahead.
So what did Debbie wear/want to the New Years Eve? I wore pajamas and stayed in, but if I went out, I’m certain mesh would have been an integral part of my ensemble.

One winter item must have you need that you don't have yet? Pants since wearing tights alone are making my legs quite cold (even layering two pairs at once) and I’m kind of getting into this pants thing; I think there’s definitely something there.

Favorite part of winter in the City? The first five minutes (which also happens to be the last five minutes) when it starts to snow.

If you could spend the winter season anywhere where would it be? Someplace warm, the cold and I don’t get along very well.

How would you describe your style? The truest expression of myself—I truly wear whatever I want.

Who inspires you? More so, what inspires me… old photographs, oak, and nearly everything vintage.

Do you have a favorite designer at the moment/or fashion icon? I’m the most devoted to marc jacobs and have been for years, but alexander wang definitely made an impact on me this year. The shapes and details were strong and inspiring.

One trend you're complete over and want to wake up tomorrow and see it gone? Must I choose one?—uggs (I can’t believe people still wear these, or ever wore them really), true religion anything, gladiator sandles, bubble hems, babydoll silhouettes, clogs, bootleg jeans, overly embellished back detailing, ed hardy (are you kidding me?), padded bras, “brushed” fabrics, I could go on and on.

so I know this girl.....

Each week I'm going to photography a close friend and ask them a few questions about "life".

Below is Mallory

So your going to be my first interview on my new Blog. I want to this to be super informal and honest.
Name :Mallory Gracenin
Age: 20
Profession: Actress/ Cocktail waitress

So what's going on with Mallory in the city of New York this fall?
I am taking classes at a great acting studio in the city. Just absorbing as much knowledge as I can. Enjoying it.

One fall item must have you need that you don't have yet?
A nice pair of heeled boots. I am so used to wearing flats and I think I could use an inch or two.

Favorite part of fall in the City?
Going to a park and people watching. Everyone and their mother is in the city in the fall and so its fun to see all the different faces. Also curling up with a good book, a hot cup of tea, in warm pajamas with the window slightly cracked with a good breeze, that is perfection!

If you could spend the Fall season anywhere where would it be?
It would have to be the city, honestly. Fall is the best season to be in New York City. Now if we were talking about the horrible winters, I would say the west coast.

How would you describe your style?
Extremely relaxed and simple. I feel awkward being extremely girly but I am trying to venture into a more flattering girly way of dressing. I am starting to wear earrings again, I guess that's a start.

Who inspires you?

My family. Supportive friends. Successful actors.

Do you have a favorite designer at the moment/or fashion icon?
Not really, and even if I did, you wouldn't be able to tell because of my lack of funds. I do have a couple favorite stores in my neighborhood such as Alter and Fred Flare. As for the fashion icon, Kate Moss has effortless style that I think is super enviable. Messy and yet put together perfectly.

One trend you're complete over and want to wake up tomorrow and see it gone?
Those PVC leggings can only be pulled off by extremely thin girls. Anyone else looks ridiculous
